One upcoming anime that’s making quite a buzz is “The Fruit of Evolution,” a series that doesn’t even pretend to have a serious plot.

The story centers around an isekai-ed guy who dates a gorilla that somehow evolves into a girl.

Crunchyroll announced last Tuesday that Miku and U35’s “The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made” will stream on the platform from October 4, 2021.

The anime’s official site also released a synopsis of the first episode.

Seiichi Hiiragi has lived a dull life, but a turning point came when he is sent to another world.

Thrown into this new world, Seiichi struggled and was on the verge of death due to starvation until he came across the fruit of evolution and evolved into a handsome being.

Well, calling out its protagonist as “fat and ugly” sure seems to give us the gist of what’s about to come in the anime. This level of self-aware humor is sure to tickle quite a few bones out there.
