The Summit of the Gods

It is very rare for a manga to get a western adaptation, but The Summit of the Gods’ global appeal almost seems to demand it.
Netflix has released a trailer for the France-Luxembourg animated film adaptation of Jiro Taniguchi’s The Summit of the Gods manga.
Netflix has worldwide rights to the film except in France, Benelux, China, Japan, and Korea and will release it on November 30, 2021.
This film looks fantastic with its western 2D animation combined with photorealistic CG backgrounds. The aerial shots in the trailer can be easily mistaken for actual drone shots.
Mallory and Irvine’s expedition is speculated to be the first successful ascent of Mount Everest, but it was never confirmed due to their disappearance during the journey.
Although the manga was highly rated already, the movie too has received the same treatment.
