Rumiko Takahashi, the famed creator of Inuyasha, had first garnered attention with the Urusei Yatsura series.
The new adaptation will be released. Although a release date has not been announced yet, they have revealed that the anime will receive four cours.

This kickstarted Takahashi-sensei’s career before she produced blockbusters like Inuyasha and Ranma ½. A comeback of this vintage anime is the best New Years’ gift one could hope for.
Urusei Yatsura is a beloved franchise, and I am simply waiting for all of its gag sequences to get animated again.
